Understand dynamic QR reporting and compare recorded scan activity with confirmed outcomes and the cost of your campaign.
The printed code and destination are separate
A dynamic QR code contains a managed route. An authorized owner can update that route’s destination while the printed pattern stays the same. This is useful for material that may outlast a promotion.
The route must remain available and the domain must stay under reliable ownership. Dynamic artwork is not independent of its hosting and access conditions.
Distinguish a scan from a conversion
A recorded scan describes access through the QR route. Ordinary link clicks and destination actions are different events and should not be collapsed into one number.
Create separate codes for placements you want to compare. Use the same date range and campaign naming, and confirm completed orders or registrations at the destination.
Assess value with confirmed figures
Campaign value depends on actual outcomes, contribution margin, and the cost of design, print, distribution, and software. A high scan total alone cannot establish a positive return.
Test the final physical artwork before printing a full batch. SVG and PDF exports help preserve sharp edges; lighting, contrast, quiet space, and physical size still affect usability.
