Connect patients to official appointment pages with clear mobile journeys while keeping health information out of public links and QR codes.
A booking link should identify the clinic
Use a recognizable domain and a label that explains the action, such as request an appointment or view opening hours. Send the visitor to the clinic’s official booking service.
A short link makes the address easier to use; it does not replace the booking system’s privacy, access, or confirmation controls.
Keep sensitive information out of the address
Do not place patient names, symptoms, appointment identifiers, or health details in a public alias or tracking parameter. A general QR code should open the service, not contain an individual’s record.
Test the complete mobile flow and make sure patients can find another contact method if the booking page is unavailable.
Measure access without inferring treatment
Use distinct general routes for reception signs, leaflets, and public announcements if placement comparison is needed. Confirm bookings in the authorized appointment system.
A click or scan is not a confirmed appointment and does not identify a patient’s medical needs. Keep the public destination current and assign responsibility for changes.
