Plan a short-link migration around domain ownership, destination inventories, alias conflicts, print assets, and verified redirect tests.

Inventory the addresses that already exist

Export active routes and record their domains, aliases, destinations, campaign purpose, and owner. Include QR codes and Bio Pages linked from printed or long-lived material.

A new route does not rewrite an old provider’s shared address. You need control of the original domain and a supported migration path to preserve it.

Check compatibility before importing

Verify that the destination data uses the supported import format. Review reserved aliases, duplicate names, URL validity, and domain readiness before moving a large batch.

Start with a small representative group. Importing destination records alone may not preserve historical analytics, settings, or QR identifiers; treat each as a separate requirement.

Test continuity before ending the old service

Open important original addresses on mobile and desktop after a controlled switch. Verify the destination, HTTPS, campaign parameters, and any authentication requirement.

Keep a rollback plan and do not cancel the previous service before the routes in active circulation have been verified. Document any address that cannot be preserved and replace it where distribution is still under your control.
