Automate managed links with scoped credentials, documented request formats, reliable retries, and verified workspace ownership.
Start with the published API contract
Use the current Gods.ly API documentation for endpoints, supported fields, scopes, and response formats. Keep API credentials on the server or another trusted client, rather than placing them in a public webpage.
Select the workspace and minimum permissions needed for the integration. Development fixtures are not production credentials.
Make retries and errors intentional
Validate destinations before submission and use documented idempotency controls where provided. A retry after a slow response should not silently create duplicate public assets.
Handle validation failures, authorization failures, conflicts, and rate limits differently. Record the request reference and safe operational context without logging secrets.
Verify the public behavior
Creating an API record is only part of the journey. Check that its domain is active, its alias is correct, and the published route reaches the intended page.
Use the documented reporting endpoints and pagination rules for analytics. Confirm any downstream business outcome in the destination system, and rotate or revoke unused credentials.
